Terms

These are our terms and conditions which apply to all our sales, they form the basis on which all our orders are accepted.

Payment


Payment is due on invoice. We accept all forms of Standard International Payment including Telegraphic Transfer and Credit Cards.

Our trade accounts have 30 days in which to pay. Overdue accounts may carry interest at 5% over and above the rate of HSBC PLC.

Title and Risk


We retain title to all goods until they have been paid in full.

Delivery


The cost of UK mainland delivery is £15 ex VAT per consignment. Wines can be collected by prior arrangement from our warehouse. We shall notify you of goods available for collection. We can arrange international deliveries as your agent. We shall be entitled to claim a storage charge for goods that have not been collected or delivered within three months of being available.

Prices


Unless marked otherwise our prices are shown as follows
 •   Per case or bottle as indicated
 •   Exclusive of VAT and duty
 •   Exclusive of delivery charges
 •   Subject to confirmation and acceptance of your order.

Default


Should payment remain overdue for four weeks or the goods have not been collected within three months we shall be entitled to send written notice to you of our intention to sell or dispose of the goods and 10 days after we have the liberty to do so. Any method of resale is entirely at our discretion.

Following the re sale you will receive a credit of the proceeds less 20%. Any balance after the credit shall remain payable by you and shall continue to carry interest.

Current UK duty rate


VAT Rate -The current rate of VAT is 17.5%
Duty Rates - Current duty rates are:
Red & white wine £18.00 per case (per 9 litres)
Champagne £22.00 per case
Port £20.00 per case

Description and quality


We shall properly store your wines whilst they are in our possession. We cannot be responsible for the state and condition of the wine where it corresponds to the quality which might be expected from its description.

Acceptance


You undertake to inspect your goods when collecting or delivering and to notify the carrier for any shortage or damage within three days after collection or delivery. After then you will not be entitled to reject wines for any reason.

Law


All our contracts are made under English Law and are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts.
